School Board adopts drug testing policy
The Board of Education of the New Richmond Exempted Village School District at its August 17 meeting approved a random drug testing policy for New Richmond High School athletes and students involved in extra-curricular activities. Students in grades 9-12 who participate in athletics, students who participate in extra-curricular activities, students possessing District parking privileges, and students who volunteer will be required to submit to random drug tests administered by a third-party laboratory. Lions three-peat in SBAAC golf
Nothing is as sweet as a Three-Peat which the Lion Golfers completed at rainy Cedar Trace Golf Course on Saturday. Going in to the final 18 holes the Lions held a 33 stroke lead over Amelia and finished the day winning the League by 64 strokes.
Austin Wells signs with Urbana
Urbana University men’s golf coach Jerome Armstrong announced the signing of New Richmond High School senior Austin Wells Wednesday, April 17. Wells was a four-year letter winner for the Lions where he played for Coach Phil Heflin and helped the Lions to back-to-back Southern Buckeye Conference championships.
Senior golfers honored Wednesday
Seniors Austin Wells,  Evan McKinley, David Ohntrup, Erik Hermannand Henry Heidelage were honored Wednesday at a team dinner following their final match of the season at Stillmeadow Country Club against Turpin. 
Lions hold their own at Div. I Sectionals
The Lion Linksters traveled to Glenview Golf Course on Tuesday to compete in the Division I Sectionals. The Lions managed to play very well and place 7 out of 16 teams. 
Lions defeat St. X and Batavia
The Lion Linksters fired a solid 163 to hold off St. X (167) and outdistance Batavia (200) on the front nine at Stillmeadow Country Club. The Lions are 36-2 on the season.  

Lions shake Stillmeadow in S.B.A.A.C. #3
The Lions continued to turn up the heat in the S.B.A.A.C. League Tournament by winning the third round by shooting a 161 to runner-up Amelia (176). Bethel (192), Western Brown (207), Goshen (218) and Norwood (227) rounded out the team scoring. 
Lions continue quest for SBAAC repeat title
The Lions continued their quest to defend their S.B.A.A.C. League title on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Friendly Meadows by firing a scorching 150 to out distance themselves from second place Amelia (171). Bethel (180), Western Brown (191) and Goshen (207) rounded out the team scoring. 
Lions earn two "A's" in Tri-Match Victory

The Lion Linksters continue there fine play as they swept a tri-match victory against Amelia and Anderson at Stillmeadow Country Club Tuesday, Sept. 11.

Lions Lead League after S.B.A.A.C. #1
The Lion let their clubs do the talking at the first S.B.A.A.C. League match held at Deer Track Golf  Course on Thursday night, shooting a torrid 151 to out pace second place Amelia (170) by 19 shots. Other team scores were Bethel (193), Western Brown (194), Goshen (198) and Norwood (226). 
Lions Take Tri-Match at White Oak
The Lion Linksters traveled to White Oak Golf Course on Tuesday to take on Western Brown and Goshen in a tri-match.  
Lions defeat Western Brown at Stillmeadows
The Lion Linksters played their first home match of the year against Western Brown at Stillmeadows Country Club. The final score was New Richmond 163 Western Brown 221. 
Lion Golfers Travel to Elks Run For a Quad Match
The Lion Linksters traveled to Elks Run Golf Course in Batavia to play in a Quad Match with Batavia, Amelia, and Turpin  
Lions hit the course running
The Lion Golfers continued their season by traveling to participate in the Princeton Invitational Aug. 14 at Glenview Golf Course and a match with league foe Amelia on Aug. 15.  
Lion golfers ninth at Granville

The New Richmond High School Golfers traveled to Granville ,Ohio to participate in the Granville High School Invitational on August 10th.

Lions are SBAAC champions
For the first time since 1998, New Richmond golfers find themselves on top of the S.B.A.A.C. golf leader board in 2011.

Steve Wolf, a member of the New Richmond technology staff and a former assistant basketball coach at NRHS, takes over the Lions golf program which is seeking its fourth straight SBAAC title.

Brad Hatfield
Brad Hatfield, a History teacher and former girls basketball coach at NRHS.  Brad started the girls golf team last year and played as a team in the sectional tournament for the very first time in school history. This year girls golf became a SBAAC league sport for the first time in the history of the SBAAC.

Justin Fender
New Richmond is the home of Justin Fender, the 2001 Ohio High School Division II golf champion. Justin shot rounds of 70 and 67 for a 7-under-par total of 137 on Ohio State's Scarlet Course to win overall medalist by 6 strokes. He played college golf at Xavier University.
