Doug Flamm begins his second season as head coach of the New Richmond boys soccer team. Doug is a deputy sheriff in Clermont County, Ohio and was commended in 2008 for his initiative, immediate pursuit, and apprehension of an armed robbery suspect. He is a graduate of Greenhills High School and the University of Cincinnati. He has been involved in the game of soccer for the past 37 years and has coached soccer at New Richmond since the fall of 2000. Doug has been a Clermont County deputy for the past 18 years and currently is assigned to Grant Career Center as the School Resource Officer.
Brian Benzinger will coach the JV team this year. Brian is better known as the Lions' baseball coach but is no stranger to soccer though involvement with his children's youth soccer programs. Brian won SBAAC coach of the year honors in baseball in 2009 after leading the Lions to the SBAAC baseball title.
Shelby Pride begins her first year as coach of the New Richmond girls soccer team. Shelby graduated from Bethel-Tate High School in
2000, having played 4 years of V arsity Soccer, Basketball and Track and Field. She then went on to run Cross Country and Track and Field at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. After earning her Bachelor’s in English Education and Masters in School Counseling, Shelby spent one year as a teacher and Girls Varsity Soccer and Track and Field coach at Riverside High School in Belle, West Virginia. She then returned home to Bethel to coach Girls Varsity Track and Field in 2008. Shelby now teaches English I and coaches Girls Varsity Soccer and Boys Track and Field at New Richmond High School..
Julie Shepherd is the assistant varsity and JV coach. Julie teaches American and Advanced History at New Richmnd HIgh School and also coaches softball in the spring. Her 2009 softball team won a Div. II sectional championship. An outstanding athlete in high school at Hillsboro, Julie played college soccer at Shawnee State.
