New Richmond High School is located in New Richmond, Ohio, 15 minutes East of Cincinnati and on the beauriful Ohio River. The Lions are members of the Southern Buckeye Academic and Athletic Conference and play in Ohio High School Athletic Association Div. II in both boys and girls soccer.

Meet the coaches

Shelby Pride begins her first year as head coach of the New Richmond girls varsity soccer team. Shelby graduated from Bethel-Tate High School in 2000, having played 4 years of Varsity Soccer, Basketball and Track and Field. She then went on to run Cross Country and Track and Field at Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia. After earning her Bachelor’s in English Education and Masters in School Counseling, Shelby spent one year as a teacher and Girls Varsity Soccer and Track and Field coach at Riverside High School in Belle, West Virginia. She then returned home to Bethel to coach Girls Varsity Track and Field in 2008. Shelby now teaches English I and coaches Girls Varsity Soccer and Boys Track and Field at New Richmond High School.

Julie Mihalik Julie Shepherd is the assistant varsity and JV coach. Julie teaches American and Advanced History at New Richmnd HIgh School and also coaches softball in the spring. Her 2009 softball team won a Div. II sectional championship. An outstanding athlete in high school at Hillsboro, Julie played college soccer at Shawnee State.
