Carla Corbin returns to lead Lady Lions

Carla Corbin and Sue Curfman have been working together for the past 5 years to build the program into what it has become.  By their persistence and dedication, the teams have continued to improve year after year. 

Corbin returns to coach the Lady Lions in 2010 after taking a season off for maternity leave season.

Curfman, who also serves as the athletic director at New Richmond Middle School, filled in for Corbin in 2009 and led the Lady Lions to a second place finish in the SBAAC with a 9-5 record. She resumes her position as assistant varsity and JV coach.

Corbin will build her 2010 squad around six seniors who played key roles on the 2009 squad in Emily Grooms, Brittney Strunk, Devan Macke, Myla Gordo, Lindsey Blankenship and Sarah Abellanida. Struck was a first-team all-SBAAC selection last season. Gordo was named to the second team.

New Richmond High School is located in New Richmond, Ohio, 15 minutes East of Cincinnati and on the beauriful Ohio River. The Lions are members of the Southern Buckeye Academic and Athletic Conference and play in Ohio High School Athletic Association Div. II in volleyball.
