Mrs. Daniels is VERY excited to be teaching technology for the first time
this year! She has taught fourth grade for the past 7 years and has now made the
change to technology. In her free time she enjoys watching her son play soccer
and basketball, reading, and going to the movies.
Mr. Jeffrey Folkens, Instrumental Music Teacher

Mr. Folkens is the band director at all
three of our district’s elementary schools; this is his tenth year at Monroe
Elementary. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the
University of Cincinnati and a Master’s of Arts in Education from the College of
Mount St. Joseph. Locally, he performs as a member of the Celebration Brass
Quintet, the Society Jazz Orchestra, the Blue Wisp Big Band, and the Clermont
Philharmonic Orchestra.

Mrs. Sally Lindsley, General Music and Choir

This is Mrs. Lindsley's second year at Monroe. She earned her Bachelor's
Degree in Music Education from Northern Kentucky University in 1992. She previously taught middle
school music and choir in Campbell Cty, Ky. Mrs.
Lindsley is a soloist/section leader in the choir at Philippus United Church of
Christ and sings for Xavier University Harmonium Sacra. She enjoys indoor gardening and
practicing her violin.

This is Mr. Massey's second year at Monroe Elementary. He has a Master's degree
from Xavier University. In his spare time he likes to work on building projects.
He also enjoys gardening, hunting, and fishing. His favorite motto is: Do unto
others as you would have others do unto you.
Ms. Adrian Hawk, Visual Art

Mrs. Hawk is in her second year at Monroe Elementary- and loving every moment. She is a
graduate of the College of Mount St. Joseph. She has
a B. A. in Art Education and a degree in Fine Arts (B. F. A.) along with a minor
in Art History. Her hobbies are hiking, biking, backpacking with her husband,
reading, creating and exhibiting her work, volunteering for different causes, and
brainstorming new and original ideas to use with her young artists. She is an avid
environmentalist who attends conferences and workshops related to the care and
protection of the earth. She has also created an Art and Earth Club here at
Monroe to expose our young artists to ways that they may use their artwork to
make a positive impact in the world.
