OFF TO A GREAT START!

Well, the first three weeks of school have flown by.

It is so good to see all the familiar faces, and some new ones, around the building again!  We have a few things that we want to remind you of, especially the importance of returning the forms from your child’s first day packet.  If you have not already done so please return them immediately.

  1. Dismissal procedures.  All students who are picked up everyday should bring a note so that their name can be put on a list for the teachers.  Their names will not be called but they will be dismissed to the commons everyday at 3:25.  Their parents should go directly to the commons before 3:20 and will be able to sign them out there.  All other students who need to be picked up occasionally should bring a note so that their name can be put on a list to be announced.  We must receive written notification at the beginning of the school day.  We will not be taking telephone calls to put a child on the dismissal list. These parents should also go to the commons to sign their child out before 3:20.
  2. Students fees are $20.00 per student and    can be paid in the office anytime.
  3. If you wish to pick your child up at the end of the day, or have them make a bus change, you must send a note.
  4. If your child is sick and unable to attend school please call the office by 10:00 a.m.
  5. Students are not to be dropped off at school before 9:00 a.m.  If you do bring your child to school please drop them off at the office door.  DO NOT WALK THEM TO THEIR CLASSROOM.
  6. Our district student dress code is in the handbook sent home in the first day packet and should be followed at all times.
  7. All students will have their pictures taken on Thursday, September 11.  The picture packets were in the first day packets.  More are available in the office.

Text Box: STANFORD ACHIEVEMENT TEST
The Otis Lennon/Stanford Achievement Test will be administered to all students in grades 2, 4, & 6 the week of September 15-19.  Please help us make sure that your child is as successful as possible on these tests by making sure that they have a good night’s rest, a nutritious breakfast, and are on time for school everyday that week.  Since these are timed tests, once a classroom has begun testing, late students will not be permitted to go to class until testing is complete.
