ü Log Cabin Herb Society Scholarship ~ This scholarship award of $500 is available to a person pursuing a higher education in

       any institute of learning in a subject area that would promote the education of herbs, including their propagation or usage as

       a part of its curriculum.  Application deadline is March 15, 2006.  See Mr. Reaker or Mrs. Coulter for a copy of the application.

ü Mensa Education and Research Foundation Local Scholarship Program ~ America's Mensa's annual scholarship essay

       contest is now open to any person enrolled or accepted for enrollment at an accredited for post-secondary education for the

       2006-2007 academic year.  Scholarships are awarded on the basis of essays of 550 or fewer words which state clearly and

       concisely the applicant's career, vocational and academic goals.  Essays must be postmarked before January 15, 1006.  See

       Mr. Reaker or Mrs. Coulter for an application.

ü Sun Trust Off To College Scholarship Sweepstakes ~ Free to enter and eligibility not based on GPA or financial need.  One

       winner every two weeks.  Apply online at www.offtocollege.info beginning on September 15th.

ü AXA Achievement Scholarship ~ The AXA Achievement Scholarship offers college scholarships of $10,000 and $25,000 to

       high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the

       workplace.  Application deadline is December 15, 2005.  See Mr. Reaker or Mrs. Coulter for an application or visit
