Hall of Fame nominations due Dec. 19

Nominations for the New Richmond Lions Sports Hall of Fame are being accepted through Dec. 19. The Hall of Fame inductions will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 following the 4 p.m. Hall of Fame basketball game against Seven Hills. Anyone wishing to make one or several nominations may obtain nomination forms in the New Richmond High School Athletic Director’s Office or download the form at http://www.nrschools.org/Downloads/nr-hall-nomination.pdf.

School Board adopts drug testing policy

The Board of Education of the New Richmond Exempted Village School District at its August 17 meeting approved a random drug testing policy for New Richmond High School athletes and students involved in extra-curricular activities. Students in grades 9-12 who participate in athletics, students who participate in extra-curricular activities, students possessing District parking privileges, and students who volunteer will be required to submit to random drug tests administered by a third-party laboratory. Nathan Dixon, JR Forsee seek state mat titles

New Richmond High School seniors Nathan Dixon (220 pounds) and JR Forsee (285 pounds) will be competing in Thursday's Ohio High School Athletic Association Division II wrestling championships at Ohio State University.
