New Richmond High School will hold its Spring Sports Meet the Team/ Parent Meeting Monday, March 14 beginning with a 6 p.m. social with pizza provided by the NR Lions Sports Foundation. The Meet the Teams/Parent Meeting will begain at 6:30 p.m. This is a mandatory meeting required by the Ohio High School Athletic Association for all Spring sports athletes and their parents. Cost of the pizza social is $3 per person for non athlete or Sports Foundation member.

The Board of Education of the New Richmond Exempted Village School District at its August 17 meeting approved a random drug testing policy for New Richmond High School athletes and students involved in extra-curricular activities. Students in grades 9-12 who participate in athletics, students who participate in extra-curricular activities, students possessing District parking privileges, and students who volunteer will be required to submit to random drug tests administered by a third-party laboratory. New Richmond High School's Spring Sports Banquet has been moved from May 16 to May 28. The banquet honoring 2014 spring athletes will be at 6 p.m. May 28 in the NRHS cafeteria followed by athlete recognition in the NRHS gym.
New Richmond High School's boys and girls track team recorded first place team finishes and first place combined out of 14 teams at the Norwood Invitational April 11. The Lady Lions were led by first place finishers Olivia Behymer (200 and 400 meters), Shelbi Simpson (1600 meters), Maren Hance (800 meters), Claire Burns (3200 meters), Hannah Hall (high jump), Eleanor Wildey (discus) and the 4x400 relay team of Paige Anderson, Olivia Behymer, Maren Hance and Lexi Forsee. First place finishers for the Lions were Miles Burnam (110 and 300 hurdles), Bobby Bingham (1600 meters), Branston Evans (discus) and the 4x800 relay of Bobby Bingham, Zach Fields, Charlie Spicker and Austin Torrens.
