New Richmond HS breaks record with generosity

New Richmond High School Student Council officers show off some of the 16,521 items collected in this year’s record-breaking canned food drive to benefit the New Richmond Food Pantry.

New Richmond High School students came together like never before in support of this year’s canned food drive.

Over the course of three weeks, students collected 16,521 items shattering the old record of 14,000.

Student Council Advisor Logan Minning said that there’s really no comparison of the numbers, however. The year students accumulated the 14,000 items, double credit was given for some goods like macaroni and cheese.

Student Council members boxed the items which will be donated to the New Richmond Food Pantry.
