Thank you from the Keith and Manning Families

Dear Staff, Students, and Community of the New Richmond Exempted Village School District,

We knew Erin intimately as a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, an aunt…she was always so full of life. Busy, busy, busy and happy to be so. She certainly knew how to put what mattered in her life first…her family and her friends. We never heard her say that she needed to clean the house instead of attending a function for her family or friends. She took the time to truly enjoy her children and her family. She was always available to give her support, no matter how big or small the task.

Recently, we have had the opportunity to get to know another side of Erin. We always knew that it was there. She would share stories of happiness and success as a teacher and coach, as well as times of sadness and heartbreak for her students. In the outpouring of support from her current and former students, we have come to realize that we shared Erin with so many. We have come to understand the loss that they have felt, too.

Throughout our time of grief, the compassion and support from a community that is also grieving has been awe-inspiring. Every little detail has been attended to and handled in a beautiful way. We would like to take this time to offer our condolences to the school staff, students, and community that loved Erin.

We would also like to take this time to say thank you with our deepest appreciation. Knowing that “it takes a village” and allowing us to see that we have the full support of that village is comforting as we all learn to cope with the loss of Erin.

With our deepest appreciation,

The Keith and Manning Families
