Earlier this month, NREVSD French Teacher Dr. Roger Nyam educated kids at the New Richmond Boys & Girls Club on why Black History Month (February) is celebrated. He gave them an overview of Africa and its culture, and then focused on Cameroon, his native country.
Dr. Nyam said that the kids asked many insightful questions about food, the kinds of pledges said in Cameroon, where Cameroon is located, and many other things. We are so grateful to have Dr. Nyam as a resource to highlight the importance of diverse backgrounds and conversations.
