Important Graduation Update from Superintendent Adam Bird

Due to the amount of rain that we have had this week, we will not be able to park cars in grass lots for the NRHS Graduation on May 26, 2017. Here are some guidelines for how to proceed prior to the ceremony.

Class of 2017 Graduates and Families:

Due to the amount of rain that we have had this week, we will not be able to park cars in grass lots for the NRHS Graduation on May 26, 2017.

We have several urgent requests from graduates and their families in order to keep graduation a special event:

1. Parking for graduation will open at 4pm.

2. We urge families to carpool as much as is possible.

3. We strongly advise those in attendance to arrive 60-30 minutes early.

4. NRHS Band members should carpool with others or be dropped off by a parent.

5. We will have a special drop off lane near the HS Theater entrance that will allow those who are not staying to drop off and then exit by way of Watkins Hill Rd.

6. NREVSD Staff members, Band members, and Graduates that cannot carpool will be asked to park at the baseball/softball field or NR Church of Christ.

7. Those who desire Handicap parking should have their placard or permit visible. Handicap designated parking is limited to about 70-80 spaces, so please arrive early.

8. Those who are parking will be directed where to park by NREVSD custodians and police.

9. Pedestrian crossings will also be directed by NREVSD custodians and police.

10. Current weather forecast calls for a greater chance of rain in the evening hours. Therefore, we will start Graduation promptly at 6pm.

Thanks and looking forward to a tremendous event to celebrate the accomplishments of the Class of 2017!
