New Richmond football coach Josh Stratton was named OHSAA Southwest District Division III coach of the year and state Division III co-coach of the year by the Associated Press after leading the Lions to a 9-1 record in his first year at the school. Senior nose tackle Will Lytle (5-8, 250) was named to the first team all-district defensive team while teammates Tyler Anderson, a 6-0, 185-pound junior running back, and Tyler Sammons, a 6-3, 290-pound sophomore offensive tackle, were second team selections.

New Richmond seniors Levi Simpson (QB), Evan Brigner (LB) and Malik Davis (WR) received Southwest District honorable mention recognition.

Lytle received all-state honorable mention.
