Boys and girls swim teams capture SOSL titles
On Saturday, February 2, for the first time in NR swimming history both boys and girls ended the season as Southern Ohio Swim League Champions.

It was a great day of swimming for all the NR swimmers. Kara Burns set her own personal new RECORD in the 100 yd. Breaststroke with a time of 1:16.63 and this is also a new school record. She also finished in 2nd place with a time of 5:50.62 for the 500 yd. Freestyle.
Tyler David finished 1st at the meet in the 200 Free with a time of 1:56.57 and in the 500 yd. Freestyle with his personal best time of 5:10.34. All the NR swimmers were a part of the win by swimming their best times in events that would earn us points.
The boys swimmers were: Austin Berger - 200 Free & 100 Back; Henry Bezold - 200 IM & 100 Breast; Cody Biehle - 200 IM & 100 Breast; Cole Bird - 50 Free & 100 Butterfly; Noah David - 50 Free & 100 Free; Tyler David - 200 Free & 500 Free; Nick Flake - 200 IM & 100 Butterfly; Derek Gelter - 50 Free & 100 Free; Jesse Noble - 500 Free & 100 Back; Zachary Rolfes - 100 Butterfly & 500 Free; Stile Sweet - 50 Free & 100 Breast; Coty Thompson - 500 Free & 100 Back; & Daniel Wilson - 200 Free & 100 Back. Great thanks to Colt Reese for helping as an assistant during the meet.

The boys swim team will go to sectionals on Friday Feb. 8 at Mason High school. The meet starts at 6:30 and the bus will leave at 3:00 with warm ups beginning at 5:00. Admission price is $6.00 for both the boys meet and the girls meet. The girls will swim on Sat. Feb. 9 at Mason High School with the meet starting at 3:30. The bus will leave at 12:15 with warm ups starting at 2:00 p.m.
