Retired Monroe teacher returns as children’s author
Valerie Woebkenberg, a former first grade teacher at New Richmond’s Monroe Elementary School, has authored and published a Christmas book titled “Stories the Little Christmas Tree Told” based on a short story her great-grandmother wrote. She returned to Monroe Elementary Dec. 3, 2014 to read to Kindergarten and 2nd grade students. She also has visited New Richmond’s Locust Corner Elementary.
