Kristin Bennett was elected to serve as president of the New Richmond Exempted Village School District Board of Education for the 2016 calendar year at the Board’s 2016 Organizational Meeting. Kevin Walriven will serve as vice-president.
Bennett made the following committee appointments for 2016:
· Board members Anthony Farmer and Robert Wooten to the Finance and Audit Committee.
· Board members Kevin Walriven and Tim DuFau to the Facilities Committee.
· Board members Kevin Walriven and Kristin Bennett to the Policy Committee.
· Board members Anthony Farmer and Robert Wooten to the Personnel Committee.
Mr. DuFau was appointed as Legislative Liaison Board Member to the Ohio School Boards Association with Mr. Farmer as alternate.
Mrs. Bennett will serve as Student Achievement Liaison Board Member to the Ohio School Boards Association.
The Board of Education set 2016 meeting dates for the third Monday of each month with the exception of January and February when the Board will meet on the third Tuesday due to Monday holidays. Board meetings will be held at the Board Office on the third floor of the Market Street School, 212 Market Street, New Richmond. Meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an executive session scheduled to last approximately one hour to be followed by the public session.
Executive sessions are for the purpose of consideration of the appointment, employment, dismissal, promotion, demotion or compensation of a public employee; in accordance with Ohio Revised Code 121.22(1).
