The PTOs of Locust Corner, New Richmond and Monroe elementary schools will hold their Open Houses and Ice Cream Socials from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12.
The Open Houses are structured to include teacher talks with parents and students about what to expect this school year and how to communicate as well as tours of the school buildings, classroom visits and, of course, social time and ice cream, courtesy of our PTOs.
“At NRE, we will also have a ‘station’ that includes special area teachers of which we have two new ones parents and students will want to meet,” said New Richmond Elementary principal Terry Miller. “Our new counselor, Mrs. Angela Gray, will also speak to parents/kids.”
NRE also will have NRE Spirit Wear and Cookbooks ($10.00) available for purchase and a Market Day representative will have samples of the cookies on hand thate are included in the PTO’s playground improvements fundraiser Cookie Dough Sale.
