Acceptable Use forms for the district are coming home for students who did not return them at the beginning of the year. These are district-required forms that both you and your child should review and sign authorizing student acceptable use of any electronics/internet devices for educational purposes. If you receive one of these forms, please return by this Friday, January 30. Our students are only permitted to use our devices/internet if this form is filed here in the office.
The BOOK FAIR has arrived and is in full operation in the First Floor Commons. Please support our PTO-sponsored Book Fair. The shopping will be available this Thursday evening from 6-8 during the 2nd Grade Literacy Night.
Literacy Night is Super-Hero Readers. We look forward to spending the evening with you and your 2nd grade child from 6-8 pm Thursday January 29th!
Our first annual Father-Daughter Dance will be held here at Locust Corner on February 7, 2015. Reservation forms are available in the office if you still need tickets and a photographer will be here to capture your special moment. Casual or dressy dress is appropriate and dads (or dad stand-ins) may bring more than one daughter to this event. It is from 6-8 pm and tickets are $8/couple.
If not having a dress is keeping you from attending, we will offer a Cinderella's Closet with gently used dresses/party clothes for a minimal fee. We are still accepting donations of clothing and accessories for the Closet, and we will open the shopping from 3:45-8:00 on Monday February 2nd. There is also a PTO meeting that night in the library from 7-8:00 pm.
February 13, 2015 is a Teacher Comp day and we will NOT be is session. In lieu of Valentines Day parties, we will have all students participate in Crystal Clear Science Enrichment activities by grade level on Thursday February 12. It so happens that February 16th is President's Day, so that becomes a 4-day weekend for many of you. Please enjoy and be safe!
Our first Parent-Teacher conference day is February 5 from 5-8:30 pm. In most cases, teachers will contact you if they wish to see you and you should respond to them directly by email so they may arrange their schedules. We typically allow 15 minutes per conference, so that we may see as many parents as possible. Please try to be prompt for your conference and maintain the schedule.
See you soon!

Sleeping Beauty rehearsal change!!

There will not be a practice after school on Thursday, February 5th.
