The New Richmond High School PTO will host a Donkey Basketball show at the high school gym on March 7 to benefit the school’s After Prom program. The show will feature teams of New Richmond district departments and staff. Tickets are $6 in advance and $8 at door. Advance tickets can be purchased at River Hills Bank or New Richmond High School Library or Office.
“We are looking for volunteer donkey riders to participate in some friendly and competitive Donkey ball,” said New Richmond High School librarian Joyce Montgomery. “We are looking to have four teams with at least eight players. Each game consists of two six-minute periods.”
The cost of the PTO’s After Prom is roughly $7,000 each year.
“This will be After Prom's biggest fundraiser this year,” said Montgomery. “We are determined, with everyone's efforts, to provide a drug/alcohol free celebration that is fun and memorable for our students.”
