District helping students beyond the classroom

The New Richmond Exempted Village School District is providing independent living skills and vocational job training and job placement for special needs students who deferred acepting their diplomas in order to take part in the NREVSD's Transitions Program.

Teacher Lisa Martin and job coaches Bobbie Perry, Gaylynne Robinson, Michelle Flood and Shelley Glenn are providing job and living skills for eight students through the age of 23 while saving the district $100,000 a year. This video highlights the program's Brewhaus Dog Bones project.
