New Richmond Middle School language arts teacher Mary Beth Weiler is one of 10 Greater Cincinnati teachers to be named to the list of Greater Cincinnati Teachers of Excellence by Cincinnati Christian University.
Mrs. Weiler, who was nominated for the award by New Richmond Middle School Principal Court Lilly, was honored at a banquet April 23 and was awarded a $500 shopping spree by John R. Green Teacher Supply Company, co-sponsor of the award.
“Mrs. Weiler was nominated for this award because of the impact she has on her students and other teachers over the past 28 years,” said Lilly. “Congratulations to Mrs. Weiler, NRMS is proud of you.”
“I am honored that Mr. Lilly nominated me to be one of the Greater Cincinnati Teachers of Excellence,” said Mrs. Weiler. “As I sat with my family, friends, and colleagues that evening I reflected on how lucky I am to be in a wonderful school district, and to be able to do what I love every day. I represent what all our teachers at NREVSD do -- giving students the opportunity to be successful.”
