Each June, Advanced Placement teachers and college faculty members from around the world meet in the United States to evaluate and score “free-response” sections of the AP exams. Three of those educators came from right here in New Richmond, representing the high school! We are proud to share that Bill Harris (AP Human Geography) , Nicole Parker (AP English Literature and Composition), and Brian McMonigle (AP US Government) were invited to join this prestigious program.

“Readers”, as they are called, are high school and college educators who represent many of the world’s leading academic institutions.

Trevor Packer, Senior Vice President of AP and Instruction at the College Board, said this about the gathering: “It fosters professionalism, allows for the exchange of ideas, and strengthens the commitment to students and to teaching. We are very grateful for the contributions of talented educators like Bill, Nicole, and Brian.”
