"Selections 2019" art exhibit includes work of two NRHS seniors

The art creations of two New Richmond HS students are included in the Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery "Selections 2019" exhibit.

Talented artists from New Richmond High School continue to have their work displayed in prestigious art shows.

Most recently, the work of seniors Emma Lewin and Makaylee High-key are included in the Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery exhibition “Selections 2019.” This is the 19th iteration of the exhibit which features artwork created by talented regional high school students as selected by their equally dedicated art teachers.

Studio San Giuseppe Art Gallery is located at Mount St. Joseph University.

New Richmond High School art teacher Amy Hauserman selected photographs by Lewin and High-key for the exhibit. Their work, Hauserman said, will be on display through Dec. 6.

For Selections 2019, area art teachers were invited to submit two artworks each,in any media, that were recently produced in their junior/senior classes and were representative of the quality of their programs.

This exhibition is a continuing commitment by Mount St. Joseph University to recognize and support the artistic endeavors of young people in the community and is a salute to the excellent art teachers and art programs in the area, according to a press release from the university.

Student-artists included in the exhibit represent at least 34 regional high schools, including New Richmond.
