New Richmond Area Ministries to Host Back-To-School Dinner and School Supply Giveaway

On July 24, beginning at 6pm, NRAM will once again host their back-to-school community dinner at the VFW Hall in the village of New Richmond. Here, the NRAM will be handing out free school supplies to elementary aged children, as well as providing a free meal to those in attendance.

Summer break may be in full swing, but the 2018/19 school year is on the horizon. While families enjoy the spoils of summer vacation, the New Richmond Area Ministry (NRAM) prepares to make the transition back an easy one for families in the district.

On July 24, beginning at 6pm, NRAM will once again host their back-to-school community dinner at the VFW Hall in the village of New Richmond. Here, the NRAM will be handing out free school supplies to elementary aged children, as well as providing a free meal to those in attendance.

As a former NRMS teacher, Mr. Ron Stang recognizes the importance of education and having the proper tools in order to learn. As the NRAM representative organizing this event, Stang also has a pulse for the needs that exist within our community.

“Many families of the children we serve are strapped with medical expenses and clothing expenses, in addition to their everyday housing, utility, and food expenses,” stated Stang. “We hope others see that this is a good thing and something worth getting involved with.”

Though countless churches, organizations, and local banks and businesses are involved, NRAM is still seeking donations. From traditional school supplies such as pencils or glue sticks to classroom supplies like clorox wipes or tissues, everything that is donated will be given away.

Donations can be made at the following locations:
New Richmond Church of the Nazarene // Wednesday // 5:30-6:30pm
Cranston Memorial Presbyterian Church // Saturday // 8:30 to 9:30am
St. Peter’s //Anytime // Leave box marked NRAM in the front entrance
