The New Richmond Exempted Village School District would like to say congratulations to all the students participating in the commencement ceremony on May 25, 2018. In this season, we leave our graduates with these simple words, “Take pride in how far you’ve come. Have faith in how far you can go. But don’t forget to enjoy the journey.”
As stated above, the graduation ceremony will take place on May 25, 2018 at the New Richmond High School Stadium, beginning promptly at 6 p.m. Each graduate will receive two tickets to field level seating and 10 tickets for bleacher level seating. Please note that wheelchair seating is available at bleacher level, therefore, standing on the fence line in front of the bleachers is prohibited. Additionally, the PTO will be selling water to those in attendance as they wait for the ceremony to begin.
Due to limited parking, carpooling is highly encouraged. Parking lots will open at 4 p.m. and the stadium gates will open at 5 p.m. With that being said, please be advised of the following parking instructions:
• The New Richmond Police Department will funnel all cars to the main entrance where parking attendants will be standing by, directing cars to various parking locations. **Parking for those with handicap placard or handicap license is available**
• Both the baseball parking lot and the Church of Christ parking lot will be closed.
• Graduates that ride with parents can be dropped off by the NRHS Theater entrance. The parents will then be directed to a parking location.
• Graduates that ride alone will be directed to the grass field in front of the Science Wing of the HS.
• Band members who are being dropped off will be dropped off near the HS Theater entrance and those parents will be able to exit by way of Watkins Hill Rd.
• NRHS Band will park in Lot B in front of NRHS. Band members will then walk through the HS to get to the stadium.
• NREVSD staff members will park in the staff lot in front of NRHS. Staff members will walk through the HS to get to the stadium.
If weather becomes an issue, the start may be delayed, may be moved to Saturday, or may be moved into New Richmond High School gymnasium.
