New Richmond Middle School (NRMS) is proud to announce that the Ohio Art Education Association (OAEA) has selected artwork from two NRMS students to be featured in an upcoming exhibit in Columbus, Ohio.

OAEA, a professional organization for art teachers in Ohio, works to promote the arts and recognize quality student art throughout the state through various exhibits at state and regional levels.

Seventh grade student, Mia Bash, will have her work displayed at the 38th Annual Youth Art Month Exhibition. This exhibition will feature work from nine regions, totaling 135 art pieces, from students all over the state.

Bash’s work will on display at the State Teachers Retirement Systems Building in Columbus, Ohio from February 17 through March 16, 2018.

At the same time as Bash, eighth grade student, Lindsey Wellman, will have her work proudly displayed at the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus as a part of the OAEA’s Young People’s Art Exhibition

This exhibit represents 135 pieces from students ranging from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Again, Wellman’s art will be shown on display from February 17 through March 16.

It is a distinct honor for any student to have artwork in this exhibition, and the New Richmond School District is proud to boast not one, but two works of art.
