The New Richmond Exempted Village School District is pleased to announce one of the recent successes of our Locust Corner Elementary (LCE) School. Step up to Quality, Ohio’s tiered quality rating and improvement system, has awarded the LCE Pre-School a 5-Star Rating, the highest ranking award.
Step up to Quality exists to recognize and promote early learning and development programs which exceed the standard health and safety licensing requirements. LCE is now the second pre-school program in the district to earn this prestigious honor, following in the footsteps of New Richmond Elementary, who earned this status three years prior.
“This process is extremely involved with onsite visits and observations of our certified licensed teachers, students, and classroom interactions,” stated John Frye, NREVSD Special Education and Pupil Services Director. “We are very excited to have achieved this rating with two schools in our district and Monroe Elementary will be next.”
