The New Richmond Schools Education Foundation Spearheads the First Professionally Published Alumni Directory

Nearly six years ago, the New Richmond Schools Education Foundation (NRSEF) began the process of what will be the first ever professionally published New Richmond Alumni Directory. Throughout this time, about 18 NRSEF volunteers sifted through the rich history of our New Richmond Schools, dating all the way back to 1940.

After years of gathering historical records, going through 58 binders of graduation data, and taking a year and half for data input alone, NRSEF partnered with Texas-based Publishing Concepts Inc. (PCI). With this partnership, PCI is undertaking the role of researching current data to the historical content provided by NRSEF.

“PCI began reaching out to alumni in late November to verify contact information. Alumni should receive an email, telephone call and/or postcard from PCI,” stated Ursula Miller, Executive Director of NRSEF. “Participation is free and voluntary based. If you are interested in participating but haven't been contacted by PCI or have questions, please call or email the foundation at 513-553-2616, ext. 12101, or [email protected].”

The NRSEF hopes the Alumni Directory will give the over 9,000 New Richmond High School graduates a way to stay in touch, reconnect, and network with each other. Miller would go on to say, “The directory is part of the foundation's bigger effort to develop a database of constituents who support the school district. The directory also will serve as a helpful resource to the school district and provide a means for our schools and community to communicate and support each other.”

Though this process has been a daunting task, the NRSEF is excited to roll out the final product in the fall of 2018. Directories, which will include a 10-page introductory section with photos, highlights of the school’s history, and current status, will be available for sale in electronic and print formats.
