2015-2016 School Year Technology Update
As we plan for the 2015-16 school year, we have some exciting changes taking place at NREVSD for our three Elementary schools.
For years our K-6 students have attended a separate Technology class 1-3 times per week based on scheduling and needs.
This method of providing Technology-Based instruction has served our students well in the past, however because of the ever-growing need for Technology to be included in all instruction for all students daily we’re going to bring Technology right to the classrooms beginning in 2015-16.
The specialized Technology class at all three Elementary schools will be discontinued at the end of the 2014-15 school year.
Beginning in 2015-16, we will have a Technology Integrationist/Coach assigned to each Elementary school to work directly with classroom Teachers/Staff to help them deliver important Technology-based instruction directly in the classrooms on a daily basis.
These changes will ensure that NREVSD students are taking part in 21st century instruction each and every day, in all subject areas. We want to continue to provide a learning environment where these valuable skills are taught in all subject areas across our schools in a seamless manner.
