Dear Parents/Guardians/Community,

On behalf of our Board of Education, teachers, staff, and students, we most sincerely thank you for your support of our tax levy request for operations. The passage is a great indicator of the value district residents place on schools, learning, and our community’s youth. With the money this levy will generate, not only will we be able to continue funding our daily school operations, we will also be able to invest more heavily in our curriculum, safety/security, and technology - three key areas you, our community, identified as very important in a survey late last fall.

With the current situation we find ourselves in with remote learning, the infusion of dollars for technology is more important now than ever. We need to not only update aging Chromebooks but secure enough new Chromebooks to make certain students in all grade levels have access to technology. This will need to be high on our list of priorities moving forward.

None of this would have been possible without the leadership of our Board of Education, the dedication and hard work of our Levy Steering committee who put in countless hours of hard work, and the incredible commitment of the levy chairs Amy Story and Vernon Hawkins. So many people from our community stepped up and helped to shoulder the load to write the next chapter for our district. Make no mistake, what just happened will leave a lasting impact on our district for the next generation. This is indeed a very special place.

I thank you, but more importantly, our kids thank you.

Gratefully,

Tracey Miller

Superintendent
