New Richmond High School Juniors Receive Speed Mentoring

Earlier today, we were fortunate to have community business members from throughout the area speed mentoring our Junior class. It was an enriching experience for our students! This is a result of our partnership with the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce and the Work Readiness Initiative.

School Counselors Carol Ann Coulter and Byron Trapp organized the activity with Susan McHugh from the Work Readiness Initiative. Juniors were divided into small groups and spent six minutes being mentored by each community member. After a brief overview of their jobs, mentors fielded questions from the students. Each group of juniors was able to visit with each mentor throughout the process.

Some notable NRHS alumni also took place in the Speed Mentoring event today, including Clermont County Commissioner David Painter, Kevin Reid, and Nikki Laub.

This is a great example of New Richmond Schools and the community working together to better prepare our students for their future life path.
