New Richmond Exempted

Village School District

Sept. 1, 2021

Dear New Richmond Schools Families,

Last school year the New Richmond Exempted Village School District introduced Delayed Start Working Wednesdays.  This weekly, one-hour delayed start each Wednesday provided an uninterrupted block of time for district staff to focus on professional development and collaboration, which ultimately benefits teaching and learning. Delayed Start Working Wednesdays will return for the 2021-2022 school year beginning Wednesday, Sept. 8.

The district will still provide transportation to school on Delayed Start Working Wednesdays but will operate on a one-hour delay. Parents who are unable to arrange for child care during the one-hour delayed starts can drop off their students at their school’s usual start time. Our paraprofessionals will provide supervision.

Grant Students

This delayed start does not extend to Grant Career Center students. The Career Center will operate on its usual schedule. Transportation will be provided for our Grant students with special routes designated especially for them. By this Friday, Sept. 3, bus drivers will provide detailed information to our Grant students about the Delayed Start Working Wednesdays morning pick-up schedule.

The new Wednesday schedule is effective next Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021. If you have specific questions, please contact your child’s building principal.

Sincerely,

Tracey Miller

Superintendent

New Richmond Exempted Village School District
