During the Sept. 19, 2022, Board of Education meeting, a revised calendar was approved for the 2022-2023 school year which halts working Wednesdays at the end of September. The one-hour delayed starts have been used since the fall of 2020 to provide important professional development time for district teaching staff.
To help recapture some of the professional development hours that will be lost as a result of this change, the remote learning day that was scheduled for Election Day this year will now be a training day for all staff. Students will not have school on that day, Nov. 8, 2022. Efforts will be made to identify other opportunities within the school year to provide ongoing professional development.
