In our ongoing efforts to update you on our financial forecast, we want you to be aware that we are in the process of researching elementary building reconfigurations. At this time, we are simply researching how this might impact our school district and what budgetary savings we might benefit from.
Superintendent Adam Bird is taking very intentional steps to ensure that the best outcome is reached for our students and our community. "In light of a financial forecast that indicates a future reduction in revenues, it is important that we study multiple scenarios that would allow us to provide instruction in a more efficient manner,” said Bird.
Multiple configurations will be studied by a committee. We are currently seeking parents and community members who would like to serve on this committee. The goal will be to study the impact that changing grade level assignments to New Richmond Elementary, Monroe Elementary, and Locust Corner Elementary will have on staffing, transportation, and instruction.
