Message regarding staffing shortages, possible impacts

Please click on MORE to read this important message regarding staffing shortages and possible impacts.

Dear New Richmond Schools Families,

We find ourselves once again dangerously close to not having enough drivers to maintain transportation service for our students. As a result of the staffing shortage, we are already experiencing delayed pickup and drop-off times. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your patience.

We are also experiencing staffing shortages in all other departments as well which ultimately could result in a quick move to remote learning. Because of this, we are asking everyone to be prepared. Each day students should take home with them the supplies they need for remote learning. If you are uncertain what supplies your student needs, please communicate with their teacher or principal.

Should a move to remote learning be necessary, we will notify you by email and phone as soon as possible. In a perfect world, we would provide at least 24 hours' notice, however, this might not be possible. Please monitor your email and phone messages. Links to notifications will also be shared on our social media accounts. If you are not currently receiving notifications from your child’s school or the district, please contact your child’s building.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience a shift to remote learning might cause and understand the challenge it presents for many families. We simply can not transport students to school or hold classes if we do not have enough healthy staff members.
