After 25 years of service to the district, New Richmond Exempted Village School District Treasurer/CFO Matthew Prichard will be leaving his position later this year.
“I'm sad to be leaving, but I’m excited for the next chapter,” Mr. Prichard said. “It's bittersweet to say goodbye to a place I’ve called home for so long. I’m confident New Richmond will continue to excel and overcome the financial challenges on the horizon very soon. I couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunities I’ve experienced here.”
Mr. Prichard has served as New Richmond’s Treasurer since June 2021. Before that, he spent 21 years working as the district’s Chief Technology Officer.
“On behalf of the Board of Education, we would like to express our appreciation to Mr. Prichard and his total of 25 years of service to the school district,” Board of Education President Jonathan Zimmerman said. “As Treasurer for the past four years, Mr. Prichard has led us through several successful audits and implemented practices and processes that have made our school district better. We wish him success in his future endeavors.”
Thanks to the diligent work of the treasurer’s department under Mr. Prichard’s leadership, NREVSD has consistently received clean audits from the Ohio Auditor of State.
Additionally, the district received the Ohio Auditor of State award for Excellence in Financial Reporting last year and for compliance with Sunshine Laws during Mr. Prichard’s tenure. NREVSD has earned four stars each of the last two years.
Mr. Prichard will depart New Richmond in October. The district has launched an immediate search for his replacement. Interested parties may apply online via Applitrack here.
