NEW RICHMOND, OHIO — The New Richmond Exempted Village School District is proud to welcome its newest member and announce the 2026 Board of Education leadership, following the January organizational meeting. At that same session, the board announced a special meeting scheduled for Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to initiate the process of placing a levy on the May 2026 ballot.

Financial Update and Special Meeting

NREVSD recently received approval of the required fiscal reduction plan from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce designed to reduce the district's projected $2.3 million cash balance deficit in 2028. Even with those reductions, long-term financial projections indicate that the district continues to spend down its savings. Without additional revenue, New Richmond Schools are projected to run out of cash reserves in Fiscal Year 2029.

To address this financial reality, the Board will convene on January 17 to review a "Resolution of Necessity." This resolution will be submitted to the Clermont County Auditor for certification of the required millage. Following this step, the Board intends to hold a final vote to certify the measure during its regular meeting on January 26, 2026. These steps are required to meet the filing deadline for the May ballot.

A New Face on the Board

The district is pleased to introduce Mrs. Mindy Graser, who officially begins her service on the Board of Education this month. Mrs. Graser brings more than 25 years of extensive educational experience to the district. Her career has spanned elementary, middle, and central office levels, giving her a comprehensive understanding of district operations and the unique needs of students, staff, and families.

A recognized leader, Mrs. Graser was named the 2010 "Secretary of the Year" by the Ohio Association of Secondary School Administrators. Beyond her professional accolades, she is deeply rooted in the community, notably through her dedicated service with the New Richmond Food Pantry.

Serving the community on the NREVSD board of education for the past 4 years has been an absolute honor and privilege.

With deep gratitude, I thank you for the opportunity to continue serving you and our children over the next four years. I humbly accept the trust and confidence you have placed in me and have embedded them in my commitment to you. We are only going to be able to solve the issues confronting NREVSD by working together with open minds, a willingness to compromise, and a vision of what we want our community to be in the future - the biggest component of that future is our children and the community we want to hand over to them.
