“It is with mixed emotions that I submit my resignation as Principal of New Richmond Middle/High School, effective at the end of this school year. This district has meant the world to me, and serving this community has been one of the greatest privileges of my career. I am deeply grateful to our dedicated staff who work tirelessly for our students, to our students who inspire me daily with their growth and resilience, and to our community for welcoming me and trusting me with your children's education. While I'm excited for my next chapter, I will carry the memories and relationships from New Richmond with me always. Thank you for everything.” - Secondary Principal Joe Stewart
“It is impossible to calculate the impact Mr. Stewart has had on our students in his time with our district. The district is grateful to Principal Stewart for five years of service and for his tireless work on behalf of our students. We wish him the best moving forward. As we look to the future, our district is at a natural transition point. The principal position will be posted today as we begin the search for new leadership to build upon our current strong foundations.” - NREVSD Superintendent Paul Daniels
A hiring timeline for the principal position. The position is open from March 20 to April 2 with interviews lasting throughout April. A final decision will be revealed at the May Board of Education work session.

Middle School Update - Final,

The Fire Department has isolated the issue to an HVAC unit switch and has given the "all clear" to resume school operations. Students will be moved back to the middle school as soon as weather conditions allow.

We are incredibly grateful to our staff and students, who evacuated quickly and safely, and to our local first responders for their swift action. Thank you for your patience and for allowing us to keep you informed through our communication platform.

The fire department is on scene. The students are safe in the high school gym out of the weather. The middle school phone lines are being overwhelmed with calls - we will continue to provide updates via phone, text, and email. Thank you
