Thank you secretaries for all you do to support our staff and students!
As we approach our upcoming Ohio State Tests, for students in grades 3-5, we want to ensure that all students are set up for success. These assessments provide valuable information about your child’s academic progress and help guide our instruction to best meet their needs. Testing will begin next week, and we need your help with a few important reminders: * Please make sure your child brings their school-issued Chromebook to school each day, fully charged and ready to go. * A good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast can also go a long way in helping students feel confident and focused. Thank you for your continued support in helping your child do their best. We are proud of their hard work and are excited to see them shine! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

We are excited to announce that Monroe Elementary School will host Career Day on Friday, May 9th, from 1:30–3:00 PM! The purpose of Career Day is to expose students to a wide range of careers and help spark their thinking about the future. By exploring career options early, students are better prepared to be college and career ready after high school. All students will have the opportunity to participate—as long as we have enough presenters—and that’s where we need your help! We are seeking volunteers to speak with students about their careers during four, 15-minute rotating sessions (1:30 PM, 1:50 PM, 2:10 PM, and 2:30 PM). Career Day activities will begin promptly at 1:30 PM, and we ask that all presenters arrive no later than 1:15 PM for check-in and setup. Sessions will conclude around 2:45 PM. Sign up forms will be coming home soon... Please consider joining us to make Career Day a fun, educational, and memorable experience for our students!

Monroe Elementary School once again participated in the 2025 Great Kindness Challenge this week... To celebrate, students showed that kindness is their superpower! We honored our friends at Locust Corner, NRMS, NRHS, the Transportation Department, and the central office. We also took time to show our gratitude by honoring the real-life superheroes in our community including Deputy Vetter, our SRO at Monroe, and all of our friends at Monroe Township Fire & EMS. Students participated in a daily kindness challenge each day this week and have pledged to pay it forward each and every day at school, at home, and throughout our community! You can also participate by spreading the kindness when you visit one of our local community partners... Our kind messages can be found at our local restaurants including Snappy Tomato Pizza, Papa John's, Buck's, the Front Street Cafe, the Green Kayak, and El Barrill. Our students are SUPER and kindness really is one of their many superpowers! https://youtu.be/qjbr0Q0bq4s?si=JtDKsJn_IBIZWtYX
