To: Our New Richmond Community

Dear New Richmond Community,

I have started this letter to you all at least fifteen times and I have not found a proper way to begin. There is no way I can find the words to say thank you in a way that truly expresses how I feel and how the staff of New Richmond Middle School feels. We have experienced an outpouring of love, support and generosity not only for the Keith family but also for the NRMS family from every corner of our district as well as from many of our neighboring communities.

Many retired teachers also came back to us this week and several of our substitute teachers in the district volunteered their time to help the teachers here struggle through the difficult days.

We are all members of an amazing community and amazing school district and this week has been yet another reminder. I wish I had the ability to thank each one of you individually and look you in the eye with the sincerity that you deserve.

I am personally honored to be part of our community and even more honored to be a part of educating your children. As we try to regain some kind of routine next week we will continue to honor and remember Erin. She will forever be a part of New Richmond Middle School and we will strive to keep our passion for teaching and love of our students to the highest standard that she would agree was acceptable.

Please keep the Keith and Manning families in your thoughts. Please be patient with us as educators as I know many of the teachers will have moments of difficulties in the upcoming months. I thank you all for your support, kindness and love.

Sincerely,

Court Lilly
