NREVSD Welcomes New Public Relations Coordinator

The New Richmond Exempted Village School District (NREVSD) is pleased to announce its recent hire of Abbey Cherry, who will be joining the NREVSD team as the new Public Relations Coordinator. Within this role, Cherry will continue to uphold the positive image and promote the successes of the District through effective two-way communication between the schools, the community, and the media.

Cherry joins NREVSD with three years of experience in Higher Education Marketing and Communication from University of the Cumberlands (UC). In her time at UC, she maintained the role of Social Media Coordinator and Creative Specialist, where she developed written, graphic, and video content for marketing of the university.

"We are very pleased that we were able to attract a candidate with Abbey Cherry’s experience in a public relations role at the university level," stated NREVSD Superintendent, Adam Bird. "We believe that she will be able to quickly connect with our students, staff, parents, and community members as we seek to implement the communications goal of our Strategic Plan."

In addition to her years of experience, Cherry is looking forward to returning to her roots. “I gained a tremendous amount of skill over the past few years at the university level,” stated Cherry. “And I’m excited for this opportunity to bring that experience home. I look forward to sharing the countless successes of this district and showcasing the pride that New Richmond has to offer.”
