NREVSD moves from EZPay to PaySchools Central

With the start of the 2023/2024 school year now squarely in focus, NREVSD would like to make parents/guardians aware of an important change for this upcoming year.

Effective August 1, NREVSD has moved from EZPay to PaySchools Central. EZPay will be shut down in the near future as the company focuses on other offerings, so the district has decided to go ahead and make the switch. New Richmond's EZPay website went offline on July 31.

All balances that were currently in EZPay will transfer over to PaySchools Central, but parents/guardians will need to make a new account to continue managing their child's account.

The switch to PaySchools Central opens up a plethora of possibilities for the district. Beginning this fall, each student in the district will receive an ID badge. Currently, that badge will allow them to swipe on and off of their school bus, giving parents with the Traversa Ride360 app real-time access to their child's location.

That badge will also be used to pay for lunches with just a simple scan of a barcode. Should students forget or lose their badge, they will still be able to ride the bus and pay for lunch but remembering to wear them to school every day is highly encouraged.

More potential uses for the badges, like ticketed entrance to after-school activities, are possible down the road.
